Quinn Plastics - Expansion in the UK
Quinn Plastics is currently establishing a new facility in the UK which is intended to provide more space and facilities for its fast growing sheet business. The new purpose built 24,000 square metre plant, located only a few miles from the existing facility in Alfreton in Derbyshire, will also be used to house another Quinn business in the area, providing efficiencies over the Group’s existing UK set up.
The investment when completed in July 08 will enable Quinn Plastics to expand its capabilities across a range of products and services. In particular it will enable Quinn Plastics to improve its ability to service the ever increasingly competitive Structural Polycarbonate (SPC) market, where the aim is to become the number one UK and Ireland manufacturer and supplier.
To bring full operational utilisation to the new facility a number of exciting product initiatives are under consideration as are a number of new extrusion lines. When fully running, this state of the art facility will provide Quinn Plastics with an enviable platform for growth in its aim to become the foremost supplier of extruded plastic sheet to the UK and Ireland market.
